Shared Fishing Charters

Quick Details

Shared Charter Option

Want the charter experience without paying for the whole boat? Book a shared charter. Two or more separate groups ride the same trip and split the cost. You get the same crew, the same gear, and the same water, at a lower price per group.

This option is available on both of our fishing trips: our near-shore reef charters and our big game deep sea charters. Curious what you might reel in on either one? Our Hilo Fish Species Guide breaks down how each fish fights and when it bites.

Note: A shared charter means you will be on the boat with another group. If you would rather keep the boat to just your party, book a private charter instead.

How It Works

We handle the matchmaking. Here is the simple version:

  • Join the waitlist for the date you want. More days = better chance of getting a match!
  • Tell us your group size and the type of charter you’d like to do.
  • We find your match. When another group signs up for the same trip, we pair you together.
  • You confirm and go. Once both groups are locked in, we set the date and split the price.
  • No match, no problem. If we cannot pair you in time, there’s no cost to you, and you always have the option to change to a private fishing charter if you’d like.

Shared vs. Private

Both options run the exact same trip. The difference is who is on the boat and what you pay.

  • Private Charter — The whole boat is yours. Just your group, full price, and you can book any available date directly.
  • Shared Charter — You split the boat and the cost with another group. Lower price per group, with dates set once we find your match through the waitlist.
